After selling his insurance business, James L. (Jimmy) Paulk went to work for the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. His avocation has long been writing about classical music, including several years as a critic for the Atlanta Journal-Constitutiion. He continues to write occasional reviews of performances beyond the Atlanta area. A former Georgia State Senator, he helped create and co-chaired the state's first legislative committee dealing with arts funding.
