Easthampton-based Marvin J. Ward (Ph.D, UNC Chapel Hill) is a specialist in medieval literature and a French language teacher, translator and interpreter. He is also Associate with Five Colleges, Inc., based at Smith College in Northampton, Mass. As a former choral singer and radio announcer with experience in the record business, he remains an avid record collector. Ward has been writing for Cultural Voice North Carolina. (CVNC) for several decades, and he was founding Executive Editor of Classical Voice of New England. His local-history book, Easthampton Massachusetts' Home-Grown Industries: Their Origins, Growth, Legacies, and Remains, was published in 2022.
