Queens-based writer Anne E. Johnson covers classical, rock, and jazz for PS Audio’s Copper Magazine and reviews indie rock recordings for Stereophile. At the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College she earned a master’s degree in musicology focused on medieval theory. She’s on the editorial staff of Early Music America Magazine, and her writing on early music has appeared in The New York Times. As a singer and instrumentalist, she’s active in the New York Irish traditional music scene and teaches music theory at the Irish Arts Center in Manhattan.
