Stuart Isacoff
Writer, pianist, composer, and lecturer Stuart Isacoff is the author of When the World Stopped to Listen: Van Cliburn’s Cold War Triumph and Its Aftermath; Temperament: How Music Became a Battleground for the Great Minds of Western Civilization; A Natural History of the Piano; and Musical Revolutions (all published by Knopf). He is a winner of the ASCAP Deems Taylor Award for excellence in writing about music and a regular contributor on the arts to The Wall Street Journal.
