Venezuelan Song Cycle at NYPhil

The world premiere of a song cycle by Gonzalo Grau on texts by Venezuelan poet Rafael Cadenas will be played by the New York Philharonic on May 19-22. Kelley O’Connor is the soloist. Pianist Mitsuko Uchida perform’s Beethoven’s Second Concerto in this program conducted by Gustavo Dudamel, which also includes Mahler’s arrangement for string orchestra of Beethoven’s Serioso Quartet, Op. 95.
