NYC: Mozart And Friends Give Praise
November 5
While Mozart’s Coronation Mass is a draw unto itself, there are other good reasons to attend the American Symphony Orchestra’s Nov. 5 program. The first half features sacred vocal works by some of Mozart’s less famous contemporaries: Johann Adolf Hasse, Michael Haydn, and Georg Anton Benda. Leon Botstein conducts, and soloists include Maureen McKay, Ashley Dixon, Terrence Chin-Loy, and William Guanbo Su.
