‘Water Nymphs’ Along Lake Michigan
The Grant Park Festival Orchestra, under the baton of guest conductor Ludovic Morlot, will present the world premiere of Water Nymphs by the eclectic Brazilian-American composer Clarice Assad. Victorian London Comes to Glimmerglass
Created by composer Kevin Puts and librettist Mark Campbell, Elizabeth Cree is a highly suspenseful and theatrical opera taking place in 1880s London. All-Bach Opening for Oregon Bach Festival
At their June 28 opening concert, the Oregon Bach Festival Chorus and Period Orchestra explore the universal human experiences of grief, healing, acceptance, and joy. Civil War Song Cycle at Opera Maine
On June 28-30, Opera Maine’s Studio Artist Program will present composer Ricky Ian Gordon and librettist Mark Campbell’s Rappahannock County. This theatrical song cycle captures key emotional, sociological, and historical moments in the Civil War, with a text that draws on diaries, letters, and other accounts of actual events. Denk Premieres Clyne Concerto at Bravo! Vail
Bravo! Vail has commissioned a new work by Anna Clyne. Her ATLAS for piano and orchestra will be premiered at the festival by the Dallas Symphony with Jeremy Denk as soloist. Aspen Festival Opens 75th Season

A world premiere by Annie Nikunen will be included on the June 30 program that opens an all-day String Quartet Marathon at Tanglewood.
