West Edge Offers Rare 1688 Opera

West Edge Opera Festival will perform Marc-Antoine Charpentier’s 1688 opera David and Jonathan, telling the timeless story of war and how it pushes us to struggle with fate, loyalty, and the tragic conflict between love and duty. The title roles will be sung by Derek Chester and Aaron Sheehan, respectively. Adam Pearl conducts. (Aug. 3-16)
