Philly’s ‘Complications’ Joins 10 Composers

Opera Philadelphia presents the world premiere of Complications in Sue, with a libretto by Michael R. Jackson based on an idea by Justin Vivian Bond. In the centuries-old pastiche tradition, the opera combines musical sections by a host of composers: Andy Akiho, Alistair Coleman, Nathalie Joachim, Missy Mazzoli, Nico Muhly, Rene Orth, Cécile McLorin Salvant, Kamala Sankaram, Dan Schlosberg, and Errollyn Wallen.
