Beethoven Concerto Opens Sun Valley

At the opening concert of the Sun Valley Music Festival, July 27, Alasdair Neale will conduct the Festival Chamber Orchestra. After playing “The Star-Spangled Banner,” the orchestra will launch into Rossini’s rarely heard overture to La scala di seta (The Silken Staircase). Orion Weiss will then be the soloist for Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in C Major, Op. 15.
