All-American Aspen Opener
July 5
The Aspen Festival Orchestra season opener takes place July 5, with an all-American program conducted by Robert Spano. Thomas Hampson, Renée Fleming, and the choir Kantorei will be on hand to sing selections from John Adams’ Nixon in China. The program also includes Copland’s Symphony No. 3.
