2 New Concertos At LACO

Two world premieres will be played by the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra on Nov. 22. The first is Mason Bates’ new Pipa Concerto, played by Wu Man. The second is Eímear Noone’s Flute Concerto, with soloist Benjamin Smolen. Ludovic Morlot also conducts the orchestra in Mendelssohn’s Scottish Symphony No. 3.
