New Project 19 Commission At NY Phil

The 1911 version of Stravinsky’s Petrushka is the main orchestral work on the New York Philharmonic’s Nov. 13-16 program, which also features violinist Nicola Benedetti performing the jazz-influenced concerto written for her by composer and trumpeter Wynton Marsalis. Conductor David Robertson opens the program with the world premiere of a new work by Caroline Mallonee, commissioned as part of the NY Phil’s Project 19.
