Mäkelä Brings Ellen Reid Premiere to Carnegie

Under the baton of its incoming chief conductor, Klaus Mäkelä, the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra performs the U.S. premiere of a new work by Ellen Reid at Carnegie Hall on Nov. 22. Lisa Batiashvili will play Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No. 2, and the evening ends with Rachmaninoff’s Second Symphony.
