Folk-Inspired Music In San Diego

In a program called “Folk Auras” on May 15-16, the San Diego Symphony will perform Jimmy López’s Perú Negro as well as two other works inspired by folk music from around the world: Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 3, Scottish, and Berg’s Violin Concerto (featuring Jeff Thayer). Rafael Payare conducts.
