Canadian composer Kevin Lau’s Kimiko’s Pearl takes inspiration from a powerful ballet about hope, resilience, and transformation. It will receive its world premiere April 9-11 with the Toronto Symphony. Gustavo Gimeno conducts this program, which also includes Takemitsu’s Requiem for Strings, Saint-Saëns’s First Cello Concerto (featuring Kian Soltani), and Ravel’s balletic Daphnis et Chloé.  https://www.tso.ca/concerts-and-events/events/romantic-treasures/
