US Premiere of Peruvian Concerto

Rafael Payare is the guest conductor Dec. 1-3 for the Philadelphia Orchestra’s U.S. premiere of Ephemerae, a concerto for piano and orchestra by Peruvian composer Jimmy López Bellido. The soloist will be Javier Perianes, from Spain. Celebrated for his interpretations of Mahler, Payare will also conduct that composer’s First Symphony.
