NYPhil: Dudamel Opens First Season

The first New York Philharmonic subscription concert of Gustavo Dudamel’s tenure as music director offers a world premiere of a new work at Zosha De Castri. The Sept. 16-19 program opens with John Adams On the Transmigration of Souls and concludes with Prokofiev’s Fifth Symphony, which Dudamel also conducted at his NYPhil debut in 2007.
