Houston Premiere of ‘Breaking the Waves’

Houston Grand Opera will present Missy Mazzoli and Royce Vivrek’s adaptation of Lars von Trier’s film Breaking the Waves, the work’s Houston premiere. The bcast will be led by soprano Lauren Snouffer as Bess and bass-baritone Ryan McKinny as Jan. Sara Brodie directs the revival of Tom Morris’s production, with Patrick Summers conducting. (April 19-May 4)
