‘Handel’s Factory’ Brings Composer to Life

A premiere at the Hamburg State Opera on Nov. 4-12, Handel’s Factory tells of the composers life at the height of his fame. The work uses a libretto by Christoph Klimke freely adapted from George Frideric Handel’s Resurrection by Stefan Zweig. The music by Johannes Harneit (who will also conduct) is based on works of Handel and other Baroque composers. The production is directed by Adriana Altaras.
