Toronto Fest Opens With Baroque Opera

Opening night at the Toronto Summer Music Festival is July 9. On hand to celebrate will be early-music company Les arts florissants, performing Charpentier’s La descente d’Orphée aux enfers. This production is conducted by Les Arts Flo founder, William Christie, and directed by Marie Lambert-Le Bihan and Stéphane Facco, with Baroque-inspired choreography by Martin Chaix,
