Spoleto: Mozart For USA’s Birthday

Mozart’s Mass in C Minor, on May 29, is Spoleto USA’s surprising choice to mark America250. The work was premiered in 1783, the same year the British crown recognized the American Colonies as an independent entity. Amanda Quist conducts the Spoleto Festival USA Chorus and Orchestra in her debut as the chorus’ music director.
