Saskatoon Symphony Plays Up Picasso

Saskatoon has a special connection to the great Pablo Picasso thanks to the donation of more than 400 Picasso linocuts to the Remai Modern from the Frank and Ellen Remai Foundation. On Nov. 7, the Saskatoon Symphony will celebrate this connection with a concert of 20th-century music accompanied by video footage of Picasso bringing each of his artistic periods to life. Composers include de Falla, Villa-Lobos, Britten, Stravinsky, Prokofiev, and more.
