Rutgers Hosts Glass Ceiling” Panel for Classical Musicians

The 2025 Festival Mahogany at Rutgers University – Camden on March 1 is titled “International Symposium on Classical Musicians of African Descent.” It will feature a panel discussion with conductor Marlon Daniel, cellist Ifetayo Ali, soprano Karen Slack, and composers Tania León and Fred Onoverosuke on the lingering concept of a “glass ceiling” in classical music, followed by a concert by Onoverosuke and Imani Winds.
