NY Phil Premiere Is Inspired By Ukraine

On Nov. 6-8, the New York Philharmonic plays the U.S. premiere of Bohdana Frolyak’s Let There Be Light, which reflects on the Ukrainian conflict. Joshua Bell is soloist in Thomas de Hartmann’s Violin Concerto, and the program is bookended by other responses to war: Copland’s Fanfare for the Common Man and Britten’s Sinfonia da Requiem.
