Multi-Composer Project Celebrates U.S. At NY Phil

To mark America’s 250th anniversary Gustavo Dudamel leads the world premiere of a new orchestration (by a team of important composers) of Frederic Rzewski’s The People United Will Never Be Defeated.  Rzewski’s work echoes the defiant spirit of Beethoven’s Eroica Symphony, which opens the March 12-17 program.
