Chabon-Based Opera Gets New Met Staging

The Metropolitan Opera will mount a new production of Mason Bates’ and Gene Scheer’s The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay, based on Michael Chabon’s Pulitzer Prize–winning novel. Bartlett Sher directs, Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducts, and baritone Andrzej Filończyk makes his Met debut. (Sept. 21 – Oct. 11)
