Bates Symphony Revealed In Chicago

The Chicago Symphony’s 2026-27 composer-in-residence is Mason Bates. The world premiere of his Escapist Symphony will be given by the orchestra Feb. 25-27, under the baton of Manfred Honeck. The second half of the program is Mahler’s Symphony No. 1, Titan.
